Framework contracts

Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, the European Commission

Ramboll Management Consulting entered the Multiple Framework contract for the provision of evaluation and evaluation-related services, including support for impact assessments, to DG EMPL in a consortium with partners, Euréval, SEOR, and Matrix Knowledge Group, with Ramboll taking lead on lots one to three of the five lots:

• Lot 1-3: Provision of evaluation and evaluation related services at all stages of implementation of the three main policies and strategies of DG EMPL, namely employment, social affairs, and equal opportunities, whatever the implementation method and the type of activity concerned.
• Lot 4-5: Provision of support in the development and pilot-testing of methods and tools to be used for evaluation services end evaluation-related services, including impact assessment, in the framework of DG EMPL activities.

The contract runs one year from April 2009 with the possibility for renewal at its expiration in 2010.

Directorate-General for Information Society and Media, the European Commission

Ramboll Management Consulting and partner, Euréval, have signed a contract for lot 1 of two on this multiple framework contract for the provision of services in the support of Information Society and Media DG’s evaluations.

Lot 1 pertains to “Technical and methodological assistance in the organisation and implementation of evaluation activities.” The tasks covered by this lot will primarily concern support for the implementation of evaluation and monitoring activities of DG INFSO. Moreover the services covered by the framework contract may also be used for evaluating the activities of DG INFSO dependent agencies or other implementation structures, for instance public-private partnerships such as JTIs linked to DG INFSO.

The duration of the contract is one year from January 2010 with the possibility of renewal upon its expiration in 2011.

Directorate-General for Budget, the European Commission

The objective of this multiple framework is to provide external evaluation services for all Commission services. The framework contract is divided into three lots:

1. Lot 1: “Technical and methodological assistance in the organisation and implementation of evaluation activities”
2. Lot 2: “Provision of studies of a prospective nature”
3. Lot 3: “Provision of external evaluation studies of an interim and ex-post nature”

The consortium with Ramboll Management Consulting and partners Euréval and Matrix Knowledge Group has been part of all three lots with Ramboll taking lead on lot 3, which has thus far been the largest of the three, turning out the most assignments. The contract terminates at the end of 2010 by when it has been running for four years due to an extension.

Directorate-General Internal Policies of the Union – Directorate A – Scientific and Economic Policy, the European Parliament

Ramboll Management Consulting has a contract for two of the lots under this framework contract on “Provision of external expertise in the field of impact assessment”.

• Lot 2: This lot pertains to the area of Employment, Health and Social Affairs and covers issues relating to the fields of employment and social policy, health and safety measures at workplace as well as all aspects of public health policies.
• Lot 3: Pertains to the area of Internal Market, Consumer Protection and Food Safety and covers the promotion and protection of consumers, including contract law, all issues related to the implementation and functioning of the internal market, as well as food safety issues and public health checks on foodstuffs and food production systems.

The contract will run until the end of November 2010.
