Ramboll Management Consulting offers a different way of doing things

Before I came to work for Ramboll Management Consulting I worked for a Swedish competitor. At that time, Ramboll was a small actor in the market. We discovered Ramboll because they started to beat us in more and more tenders for projects, and during 2006 I realised that Ramboll offered a different way of doing things so I decided to apply for a job. During the job interviews and in my meetings with company representatives I was impressed by the ambition and entrepreneurship that surrounded Ramboll.

Personal development as a strategic tool for growth

My main reasons for coming to work for Ramboll was the company´s strong focus on decentralised responsibility and on employees' professional development. One of the most important aspects in Ramboll Management Consulting is the fact that developing our consultants is an explicit part of the company’s strategy for growth. As a result, we are not trying to increase our market share by pricing, but by delivering top of the line services to our clients. Since this emphasizes the level of professionalism of the consultants, it also makes Ramboll Management Consulting a very stimulating environment to work in, your own development is closely linked to the development of the company. During my time here, I have learned that this is one of the biggest advantages of Ramboll´s working environment. Furthermore, the work environment is very attractive due to the large number of competent and strongly engaged people working here. I really experience that people at Ramboll are smart and a lot of fun.

Every project has its challenges

Every project has its own particular challenges. For example, one of the projects I am currently working on is an evaluation of a project that aimed to change how schools in Sweden work to prevent bullying and discrimination. This project is a large evaluation and it is very complex due to the huge amount of data it rests upon. We are now facing the final evaluation, and it has been great fun, but also a big challenge.

A common goal

In Ramboll Management Consulting we have a saying; "The best argument wins". When I look at the way we work on our projects, I think this really characterizes our organisation. We move fast and travel light in our projects because everyone is focused on the same thing; to deliver high quality service. We are also blessed with a minimum of internal politics. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that this was the case with Ramboll. There is a very good team spirit and loyalty between consultants in Ramboll Management Consulting, which makes it an inspiring environment to work in. You can always count on your colleagues to back you up if you find yourself in a problematic situation. That indeed is one of the main reasons why I look forward to going to work in the morning.
