“One of the things I like the most about my job is that I know I´ll meet new challenges every day.”

An internship that lead to a job application

After finishing my Bachelor degree in European Studies in 2007, I was an intern in Ramboll Management Consulting for three months. During the internship, I got to know the organisation and its culture quite well. These three months were my main motivation for applying for a job in Ramboll two years later.

Young and dynamic team with a high level of professionalism

One of the things I like about Ramboll is that there is a very flat hierarchy. You will for instance have client contact and get to work on projects from day one on the job, unlike many other consultancy companies I know. I also like the fact that you are always working on several different projects at the same time, which guarantees you a continuous learning process and constant challenges. Looking at the people side of the organisation, it is a very young and dynamic team with a high level of professionalism. My colleagues are very open-minded and helpful and there is a high level of responsibility for every individual working here. The opportunity for one to take a lot of responsibility creates a place where employees can grow, and this, in my perspective, is very characteristic for the company’s culture.

Interdisciplinary projects

The most interesting project I have worked on so far was a project we did for the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. In this project we conducted an analysis of the financial system of the integrations courses for immigrants. From my point of view it was a very interesting project because the people on the project team came from three different Competence Centres. As a result, the work became very interdisciplinary. Due to this cross disciplinary approach there where several different perspectives looking at the project at the same time, considering problems and challenges from very different angles.

New challenges every day

Another aspect that makes me really happy with regard to my job is the certainty that I will be challenged every day in a new way, while being nurtured at the same time. By "nurtured" I mean that while you have a lot of responsibility and you do have challenging tasks, you will always have a point of contact if you need any kind of help.
